Tyler Hutcherson Joins Shift AI as Tech Advisor

We are thrilled to announce that Tyler Hutcherson is joining Shift AI as a Tech Advisor. Tyler's extensive background in AI/ML engineering and his impressive track record of innovation and leadership make him an invaluable addition to our advisory team.

Currently, Tyler is a Senior Applied AI Engineer at Redis, where he plays a crucial role in maintaining the Redis Vector Library (RedisVL) and supporting a wide range of AI ecosystem integrations. Redis is renowned for being the world’s fastest in-memory database, providing solutions for caching, vector search, and NoSQL databases. Tyler's work at Redis involves leveraging cutting-edge technologies to build scalable and high-performance applications, highlighting his expertise in real-time data platforms.

Before his tenure at Redis, Tyler was a Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Skafos, where he collaborated closely with our co-founder and CTO, Michael J. Prichard. At Skafos, Tyler pioneered scalable, vector-based search engines and designed backend microservice architectures in Kubernetes to support large machine learning deployments.

Tyler holds a Master of Science in Data Science and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Virginia. His academic and professional journey has equipped him with a deep understanding of AI/ML, vector space modeling, generative AI, and scalable product architectures.

As an advisor to Shift AI, Tyler will provide guidance on the latest advancements in AI/ML, helping to refine our solutions and shape our technical strategy. His expertise will be instrumental as we continue to innovate and deliver GenAI solutions to our clients in the finance sector.
